Knot Tying Clinic ($35)

  • The Carpenter's House 212 Legion Way Southwest Olympia, Washington, 98501 United States (map)

This clinic is designed for beginners who are looking to build a foundation using rope with a variety of knots that can be used for camping, shelters, traps, gardening, and more.

We’ll work as a group and follow along step by step to practice common knots and discuss when to use them. We’ll finish the class with a training on how to set up a quick-release ridge line that can be used for a variety of purposes including tarps and shelters. We’ll also show you how to neatly coil lengths of rope when you’re finished with them!

Participants will go home with an understanding of knots and rope terminology, 7 new knots to practice, a piece of rope to work with, and a worksheet with class notes.

We’ll be at The Carpenter’s House in downtown Olympia - so it’s a perfect space to meet new friends, learn some knots, and take an evening stroll around the lake after class!
