Opt Outside this Black Friday, spending time with nature and community instead of shopping! We’ll do a slow meander along the trails at the Interpretive Park, a great place for seeing beavers, nutria, and lots of waterfowl. This social outing will be a space to meet other folks in your area that like to get outside while we look for wildlife track and sign, waterfowl, and unique plants to identify.

Please come prepared for this trip with warm layers, warm, comfortable footwear, and rain protection, and binoculars if you have them. We also will have binoculars to borrow if you’d like!

Please note - the address listed can take you to two different locations depending on your map! We are meeting at the Interpretive Park at Capitol Lake (NOT Tumwater Falls!). This is where 101 and i-5 intersect, off of Deschutes Way at the south end of Capitol Lake. There is a bathroom and small boardwalk that goes out onto the lake. That’s where we’ll meet!
