Hike along the forested trails at Woodard Bay Conservation Area to learn how to identify key trees of the Pacific Northwest. Participants will discover diagnostic features and botany principles to carry their tree id and botany skills forward beyond the session.
Lessons on various trees at the site will also including discussions on the roles of these trees in their ecosystems and relevant ethnobotany.
Accessibility This naturalist hike will be slow moving on a mostly level surface. We will stop frequently to study and discuss the trees around us.
Restrooms There is a vault toilet available about 1/2 down the trail for public use.
