Intro to Nature Awareness | Feb 22 | 10:00AM - 12:00PM

$25.00

Join Licia, certified Yoga and Meditation instructor, from Firecraft Northwest, for a quiet, fully engaged nature morning.

We’ll start with hot tea and a brief discussion about nature awareness before meandering into the woods to practice two silent, solitary awareness-building techniques. Then, we’ll do a sensory plant walk, learning plants that have unique tastes, smells, and/or textures. With a silent stroll back to the shelter, we’ll put into practice what we’ve learned. Reawaken your senses and reconnect with the natural world around you during this morning’s mindful outing!

You’ll walk away refreshed, calm, and with several techniques and activities you can use at home or the next time you’re on the trail. Nature awareness practices will also help you form the foundational skills needed for other outdoor skills like plant identification, foraging, wildlife tracking and more!

No experience needed.

Please bring:

  • Notebook or paper to write on (at least 5” x 5”)

  • Pen, pencil, (artsy supplies - colored pencils, markers, etc. if you’d like!)
