With this Pacific Northwest Survival Basics crash course, we’ll introduce the core principles and strategies of wilderness survival. Learn about prioritizing needs in an emergency situation, discuss shelter building designs, and discover tips and tricks for fire building in all weather. We’ll also discuss field-based water filtration and learn about what items you should keep in your pack for day hikes and overnight outings. This is an interactive, hands-on lecture that pairs well with drinks and new friends!
Registration options include the workshop only as well as the option to add on a handmade ferrocerium rod (water-proof fire starter) and/or a Morakniv camp knife (multiple colors and two steel options to choose from).
